Christmas Challenge #4: Felt Christmas Hearts

Today I made a little tiny felt heart.
I thought it would be a sweet little gift to give to someone who only puts up a little tree at christmas time.I know people who have gorgeous little trees and large ornaments just look silly on them! I could also see myself adding it to embellish a gift or even to attach to a card since its so small. That is all the christmasness that I managed to conger up today. Hopefully I make something a little larger tomorrow

She Scraps: Cocoa Vanilla- Free Spirt

Hello! Im here today with a scrappy share! I am just loving the cocoa vanilla, free spirit range, all the colours are just so gorgeous!!It's always a good scrappy day when you get to scrap with colours you just love!
This one began with the stitched grid on it, I love a good grid ;) I'm also really loving scrapping with smaller photos lately, these install photos are of my cute little niece- she's awesome! She was showing me how she can do the splits then spent the rest of the time cartwheeling through the house!!
I've pretty mushed used everything from the kit and then added just a few bits and pieces- the blue butterfly is a martha stwert punch and some large white sequins and just that xoxo stamp.
I just love how that navy colour pops with the other colours in the range and I have to say that those little resin hearts might just be my favourite embellishment ever!
So Il'l be back later today with a christmas challenge share, see you then!

Christmas Challenge #3: Tiny Gift Box

It's day three of my Christmas challenge I decide to create some little boxes that would go on the table  for dinner on christmas eve.
I created the boxes out of some card stock , each box is about 2x2inches square.
I've added some ribbon, some twine, a star, some bells and a flower to the top of each box.
I was hoping to get a whole set of these made today but somehow only managed to make two.
If you'd like to watch me make it you can!!!! I made a little video (I fixed all of the problems I had with my first video, yay! )you can see it here!!
So I'll see you tomorrow :)

Christmas Challenge #2: Gift Bag

Day two today and I have a little gift bag to share.
I bought a whole heap of these little muslin bags, Im hoping to turn a bunch of them into an advent calendar but until then I had been thinking that they would be cute for some snail mail filled with some little goodies. But since I am focusing on christmas stuff right now I thought I would try it out as a little christmas gift!
I use a Heidi Swapp stencil and paint to create the big red 'love' and then just used a pen to create the 'christmas'. Im not super loving how the paint spread a little, sometimes things just don't work perfectly and that is ok!
Ive added a few little things inside: some lindt chocolate, a little bit of tea, a handmade paper book and a pen.
I think that this is a little gift you could use as a random act of kindness gift at christmas time, most people would like the chocolate and could use a little note pad and pen. Also you could add pretty much anything you like to this little bag, I will probably experiment with a few more because I could see this gift being personalised or made to suit the recipient or have just so many different things inside!
See you tomorrow!

Christmas Challenge #1: Shaker Card

Im keeping it super simple for the first day of my challenge I made a shaker card!
I've been seeing so many cool shaker things around the internet, calling my name to make something shaker! Only one problem: I filled the shaker card so much that it doesn't shake a lot, but hey its a plain card I think it looks nice with all of that sparkly goodness able to be seen.
I used a star die to cut the shape then backed it with some clear packaging then added some foam adhesive around the back of the star. That made a spot to add the sequins to then I just backed it with a piece of card. All done!
I'm so happy that I've made one small step towards my christmas goals! I'll see you tomorrow with my next little christmas make!

Christmas Challenge

This year I was hoping to get 40 christmas things made, one a week each week, it just hasn't happened so immediate action is going to be taken! Ha Ha!I feel like may be I made it a little too easy for myself and now I feel like I really want to focus on it. It might just be that I have had enough of a break or it might be that I feel like the year is flying by but when I heard Elsie Joy's podcast about her 100 day Project my ears just couldn't help but tell my brain "YOU MUST DO IT!!!" So I'm going to be delving deep and creating 100 Christmas things. Im really excited about it!

So my guidelines are to complete 100 Christmas things AND share it!
It can be one small thing, like a card, a felt thing or a tag OR when I have more time it could be a set of things or a gift.
A thing a day for the next 100 days- that takes me to November 7th, yep november 7th! That is when I usually like to have all of my christmas stuff stitched up by anyway. So there is no time to delay!! :) I really want to get to the end of this year having finished one big thing that I wanted to achieve off of my list.
So may be if you had a goal that you wanted to achieve this year  but haven't quite got there or if you have something that you would like to achieve in the second part of this year now is the time to
re-evaluate and think about the things you'd like to get done!

This is the beginning of my 100 days of christmas challenge!

She Scraps! With Painted Hearts!

Hi! Ive been a absent a little longer than I thought I had, mostly because Ive been so busy scrapbooking that I forgot to share them here, the good news is that I have a tonne to share! During the school holidays my boys and I spent nearly every day in the craft room, we made so many fun things but they were mostly hoooked on snail mail and making postcards for friends.

The other reason I haven't been here is that my computer died, like really, so I finally got a new fancy one!with a new computer my craft room had to have a little makeover and we have now been spending a heap of time in here together! There is now enough room for the boys to be in here too which is awesome!

So this layout was so fun to make, I used my die citing machine and  some kaiser craft heart dies to create these layers of hearts in a grid pattern. I cut them for some paper that I had painted and then added lots of fun other little bits and pieces including tulle, curtain fabric, wash tape, wool, buttons, wood veneer, lace and even some cork! The title and the journal card are from Amy Tangerine line better together and the paper behind the photos is some from the Heidi Swapp minc range that I left black just because I liked it!

I stitched the white yardstick onto some kaisercraft yellow paper and Im loving the pop of yellow it gives to the page!
Loving how this page turned out! I'll be back soon with so much more to share!
