Christmas Challenge #35: Felt Angel

I have a long list of christmassy things that I want to make and one of the hardest parts is deciding which one next. So I decided to make some little felt angels. I've been waiting to make felt things with faces (instead of more stars or hearts) for a while now but whenever I try to make them I struggle with their faces- they always end up looking silly so I bought some little black eyes online hoping that this would help me be able to create some little people.
I think these eyes may have turned out to be a little big though, but since I have a little pile of them now I guess I will just have to go with it!
I'd really love to make some Santa's and Elves and reindeer but I think I will see how I go!

Cocoa Vanilla: Free Sprit: So Happy

I'm still playing with my cocoa vanilla free spirit scrappy stuff. This time I decided to use some watercolours, so I painted those colours that run down the left side of the page.
I had fun mixing colours that were similar to those in the range, I love mixing colours, then added a few ink splatters on top of the watercolours. I love watercolours because they are so easy to play with, if you have never done any painting then watercolours are a great place to start. I picked this set up at Big W but you can pretty much pick up a decent set at any art or craft store, these ones cost me about $15. You can play with different techniques and with mixing your own colours. I simply adhered the cut file on top of the watercolour painting that I had done.
There is a tag with journalling that slips behind the photo and other than that I kept it fairly simple.
I finished it up with other bits and pieces from the free spirit range.

Christmas Challenge #34: Embroidery Wreath

Today I'm popping in to share an Embroidery Hoop Wreath that I made!
I had this embroidery hoop lying around here waiting for some craftiness to happen to it so I took out my flower dies and cut a pile of flowers and leaves and created a bunch of flowers.
I simply hot glued them all together and used some hot glue to add some buttons of the centre of the flowers. Then I arranged them around the hoop and glued them on.

I finished up by adding some string, bells and black and white ribbon to the top. This ended up being a really simple project to make and was super fun!

Christmas Challenge #33: Fabric Wrapped

I had this fabric that I recently purchased and I just had to use it to wrap a gift.
I guess that I should have hemmed the edges but I'm really not that fancy :) so I just went with it.

I'm really loving how this turned out and also loving that this wrapping won't end up in the bin, it will be able to either be reused to wrap another gift or make something else!

Christmas Challenge #32: Gift Wrapped

So I used the paper that I made to wrap a gift!
So there you have it, one gift wrapped! The first gift of many!

Christmas Challenge #31: Gift Wrapping Paper

This post is super simple and super quick! I have made some wrapping paper with a roll of ikea paper and some paints from Kmart, and yes my fingers!
These photos are not very glamorous but I hope to put these papers to good use very soon. They were very relaxing to make and also really cheap. I may just end up making all of my wrapping paper!

Christmas Challenge #30: More Cards

I just had to pop in and share these Christmas Cards that were created with close to my heart products. I made them at a card making night and it was so nice to just be able to play with pretty stamps and paper!
If you would like to purchase anything you see in this post you can find out more about them Here!

Christmas Challenge #29: Deer Napkins

I picked up some cute deer fabric at spotlight on sale, you know because nobody wants to buy christmas fabric this early...but I do!
I decided to make these really simple napkins with it. I simply took equal parts of the fabric and hemmed each side.
Because they are such neutral colours I think they would go with many different table settings.
Who doesn't like a bit of gold and a deer head right??
Phew thats one more thing off of my list!

Christmas Challenge #28: A Snow Globe Christmas Card

I've been making these cute snow globe cards. I cut them from this cut file from Lori Whitlock here. I didn't use all of the cut file I ended up just using the front of it and then added it to a card.
I also added a bow that is from the silhouette store and then I coloured them with dylusions ink sprays(you can find them here). Unfortunately I don't have any awesome copic markers and didn't want to spend the time to cut them with different coloured papers so once they were cut I just sprayed them with dylusions ink sprays and I think that turned out really well, it was also much faster than painting them.
I added a stamped 'Happy Christmas" it happens to be the only christmas sentiment stamp I could find, it may just be the only one I own :-O
I think I might make a few more of these with a bigger snow globe, I cut this one pretty small. If it was bigger I could have made it with a shaker snow globe, or even with an opening so that you could  see the inside of the card behind. So be warned there may be more of these ;)
(I took these photos while the glue was still wet so please excuse the little bits of glue, I cleaned them up after taking these photos)I am also kinda freaking out about how behind I am eeeekkkk! So there may be a few smaller things here over the next few posts while I'm catching up, we'll see how I go!
Also did you know that there is only 112 days left till Christmas !
