She Scraps

I'm really starting to catch up on my Album for this year, I still need to go back and finish up some things from last year but for this year I am getting closer to being caught up. Its a great feeling to feel like you are making progress!
Although the fact that I've been scrapping a lot lately means that I'm filling up my album fast and I'm about to start my second album, this year could end up being a three album year! My most have been two albums in a year. Last year I ended up with one not quite finished album and a not quite finished December Daily Album. I'm thinking that I need to make  a bit of time to get those albums done!
So anyway...Im loving how this layout of my friends and I turned out! I've used mostly Kaisercraft finders keepers collection that I picked up at spotlight. Also those little wooden button type things are from a freckled fawn kit, aren't they just so pretty!

This last one is from Easter Sunday, and yes that is my sons crazy face, lol!I used a die to cut all of those butterflies and a Martha Stewart punch for the smaller ones. Those boys, they are  lots of fun!
What have you been making?

She Scraps- Side By Side

My Autistic son Luke he loves scissors and glue- like sometimes I wonder if he likes scissors and glue even more than me. I  challenged myself to scrap side by side with him, not easy- have you ever scrapped with your kids?
So the easiest way to start was to each pick some things out and just scrap with those things. Luke just went for it, he began cutting and sticking down, he added layer upon layer and created such a fun page.

He was SUPER proud of himself!! Can you tell ?! ha haa
It was so awesome watching him just cut and stick, of course he just had to put his name on it and that is two love hearts next to his name, he stuffed up the first one so he just went for it again.
I just had to scrap a photo of Luke and I together, I used the Amy Tangerine better together collection with a little freckled fawn in there.
There will be many more pages from Luke in the future, he has been asking me all week to scrapbook. He's Awesome!!

She Scraps- Six in One minus One!

The other day I challenged myself to create SIX layouts in ONE day, the most that I've ever done in one day is about 4. Usually I will only get one done in a day so six was a stretch!
This post only has five of the pages because one of the pages was done side by side with my little guy Luke who happens to be Autistic and one of his favorite things to do is make- especially cutting and glueing, any way I will pop that up in my next post.

Pretty much every layout was done by grabbing five- I've been super inspired by Inkie Quill's totally awesome grab five videos you can see them here! This top one was using Dear Lizzy Happy Place, I'm loving this collection- the colours are just so me! I love how fun and bright it is!Oh and I created that painty circle by painting on the edge of a paper plate and then stamping it on the page- so fun!

I really wanted to use a large hand cut title on this one. Loving this picture of my Son and Hubby on his birthday and love that I happened to have some doughnut stickers ( I think they are Amy Tangerine?) Since my Hubby wanted doughnuts for his cake.
There is a whole pile of Freckled Fawn on this one, I had no idea how I was going to use those arrows because I didn't really love the colour of them, but I used them all up! YAY!
Oh My Gosh, how super stressful is it to scrap pictures of your favorite scrappy peeps!I had to keep reminding myself that I can print the photos again if I stuff it up but phew I think its all ok!

And finally this one is going in the birthday album! Woo Hooo! So glad that is ticked off of my to do list!
You know what is awesome about grabbing five products and having to use them? You actually use them!!! I know crazy right?

She Scraps- Playing with stencils

Oh my! I had so much fun making these stencil type pages and I'm loving how they turned out. This is a picture of my niece and I at Christmas, doesn't she have a sweet little face!
I cut these stencils with my silhouette and then spent time cutting up little bits of paper and sticking them to the back. Oh boy did it feel good to be cutting up scraps of paper and sticking them together. Some how when I use all of my little scraps for something like this it REALLY feels like I'm SCRAPPING!

I'm loving the geometric hearts I'm seeing everywhere so I just had to give it a go. I added the title 'love' which was also cut with my silhouette with some American Crafts Pow paper which was really awesome to cut- the glitter on it doesn't come off which really helps with cutting it!
So much fun! See you soon!

She Scraps- playing with fringing

Recently I have been watching a tonne of scrapbooking videos, I find them super inspiring and they just make me want to jump right up and go and scrapbook right away! My lovely hubby has been encouraging me to create my own you tube video of my scrapbooking and I have to say that I was petrified to even think about it but I LOVE watching scrapbook videos so I kinda thought why not??
So I made one!!! I learnt a tonne. I'll tell you its not perfect but I've never edited a video or done a voice over so it was super fun to make. A learning process but still FUN!
So if you would like to see me scrap this page you can check it out right here! My first Video!
Of course its my first video so Id love it if you gave me a like!
